Our Story

Every great flavour has a story, and ours begins long before Mami Temaki ever hit the streets of Prince Rupert. Chef Neup was born into a family that ran a small street food business. From an early age, he was immersed in the sights, sounds, and smells of cooking — learning not just recipes, but the heart and soul that goes into feeding people. Inspired by his family, he trained in the kitchen from childhood, developing a deep love for creating food that brings joy and connection.

But Chef Neup dreamed bigger. He wanted to become a professional chef and take his passion to the next level. After attending culinary school, he honed his skills working in nine different five-star hotels, mastering everything from fine dining to casual cuisine. Those years of experience gave him not only precision and technique, but also a bold vision: to create something truly unique — a culinary experience that fuses global flavours, excites the palate, and feels personal.

That vision became Mami Temaki Food Truck. Chef Neup spent over a year designing the perfect kitchen, testing recipes, and crafting a menu that reflects his journey — long hours, creativity, and endless attention to detail. Every dish is a product of 24-hour dedication and the relentless pursuit of the perfect bite.
